Sunday morning meditation Moved back to Normal Hall for the warm months
A group of Laurel Park residents have been meeting for meditation every Sunday morning at 10:15.
The session includes silent meditation, walking, a reading, and brief discussion.
Please join us. All are welcome, with or without mediation experience.

Services are held at 10:00 am in the Tabernacle unless otherwise noted.

July 10:    Unitarian Society of Northampton and Florence

A liberal congregation in the Unitarian Universalist tradition, part of Northampton since 1825 and Florence since 1863. We have a vibrant tradition of holding lay-led services through the summer months. We are a congregation that affirms and welcomes people of all races, genders, and sexual orientations.

July 17:     Northampton Friends Meeting

In this unprogrammed Quaker meeting, attendees are invited to worship in silence. People may speak as the Spirit moves them. Northampton Friends Meeting welcomes all members of the community and celebrates the richness of human diversity. Attendees will be invited to share refreshments and write letters in support of social causes after the close of meeting.


July 23 (Normal Hall):     Buddhist Insight Meditation

Members of Laurel Park's ongoing meditation group will lead a meditation drawn from the Vipassana tradition and Zen Buddhism as taught by Thich Nhat Hanh. There will be sitting meditation, walking meditation, and a guided loving kindness meditation. Open to all, experienced or new to practicing.

July 31:     Community Sharing of the Spirit

Laurel Park's annual "spiritual pot luck." All are welcome to bring offerings of words and/or music from any spiritual tradition, that have inspired, uplifted or challenged you.

August 7 (Normal Hall):     Sacred Harp sing

Come join in the singing, or simply listen. A brief introduction to this American participatory singing tradition will be offered at the beginning of the sing. Loaner books will be available.

August 14:     Pagan ritual with Deirdre Pulgram Arthen

Honor the earth and community with Deirdre Arthen of EarthSpirit, a non-profit organization that holds events and gatherings drawn from the indigenous traditions of Northern Europe.

August 21:     Native American Prayer Service

L. Jan “Sparky Shooting Star” Hunt is a founding board member of the Church of the Blue Star, a Native American based way of life that honors all the races and faces of people, and all the names of God.
This service will last approx. 1 ½ hours. Please bring potluck food to share if you can; sharing food is part of this tradition.

August 28:    Haydenville Congregational Church

Reverend Andrea Ayvazian will lead the service to conclude our season of Sunday Services. We also welcome the congregation of First Churches to join us at this service.
